Luz Carasa is a filmmaker, video editor, writer, and storyteller based in Portland, Oregon. She is passionate about crafting powerful stories that surprise and entertains the audience. 

Luz has experience working in advertising for clients like Nike, Adidas and Columbia Sportswear, networks, like PBS-OPB and independent documentaries like: "Waking the Camino: 6 ways to Santiago, winner in many film festivals such as American Documentary Film Festival and Hollywood Film Festival; ”Seed: The Untold Story” awarded in San Diego International Films Festival and Lunenburg Doc Fest among others, and “Burlesque: Heart of the Glitter Tribe” now in theaters. 

"Giants" is her first work as a director and is part of an anthology called Canopy Stories and produced by NW Documentary.
